Create Bootable Windows 10

Microsoft’s Media Creation Tool, which is available for use on its website, makes Create a Bootable Windows 10 USB drive a breeze. When we talk about making bootable USB devices for Windows, we usually advocate using the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool (time to update that name Microsoft).

Nonetheless, I’ve had some difficulties developing one and have been looking for a better solution. When we need to install Windows from scratch, we’ll need a bootable disc.

A bootable disc is a disc that contains specific files that allow the computer to start up or boot up in order to run a utility or software. To begin the installation of the Windows 10 operating system, we will need a bootable drive.

So, this time, I decided to give Rufus, a free utility, a shot. Here’s a look at how to Create a Bootable USB drive for Windows 10, and in the end, I found it to be faster than the previous Microsoft tool.

Create a bootable USB drive for Windows 10

To create a bootable Windows 10 USB stick, all you have to do is download the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft’s website and run it on your computer. You’ll also need a USB flash drive that’s completely empty so it doesn’t interfere with anything else.

For 32-bit version downloads, the USB flash drive must have a minimum capacity of 4 GB, and for 64-bit version downloads, the USB flash drive must have a minimum capacity of 8 GB. Microsoft’s download tool will detect the correct version (32-bit or 64-bit) for your PC automatically (you can also manually select the required version). If you’re not sure, you may see if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit by checking the bit version.

The use of CDs and DVDs has significantly decreased since the introduction of USB drives. Make a bootable USB device and keep it somewhere safe so you can use it to quickly resolve installation problems.

How to Create a Bootable USB or ISO image of Windows 10 for a fresh install.
